The REED GS-5800 Ultrasonic Leak Detector converts ultrasound signals produced by industrial machinery into easily recognizable audible sounds so the user can evaluate the condition of individual components, even in extremely noisy plant environments. The advantage to ultrasonic sound is that it is much more directional than sonic sound. By turning the sensor away from the source of background noise, and toward the leak, most of the background interference can be ignored.

Leakage level is displayed by an LED bargraph and audible sound
Ultrasonic Transmitter sends a 40 kHz signal which, when detected by the meter, indicates the location and magnitude of a leak (sold separately)
